Nature is in full display. The buck is still in velvet and the bear are getting frisky. Views from the top are still phenomenal. It is such a spectacular view of the valley below covered by the pillowy cloud cover. Gray skies at sea level turn into blue skies and cotton-ball clouds at 6000 feet.
Shambhala has a fire pit, but I'm still concerned with the fire danger. Better safe than sorry. The area is clear, but the vegetation has grown so much this year thanks to the large amount of rainfall. We're not complaining, just stating the facts.
The zip line is waiting for renovation. I plan to relocate the bottom termination so that the endpoint will be closer to ground level. Really, it seems like most things are in need of renovation. The zip line almost killed me during the maiden run https://youtu.be/Jy7wjqCIpyE.
Not much free time to spend at The Rock to make these improvements. It's great having a full time shelter at Shambhala. But as you know, the roof needs repair. The snow load collapsed the roof over the past winter. The leisure dome at Nirvana is the bomb. It is a comfortable respite from the sun and provides an unobstructed view of the valley.
Deep Creek Lake is still flowing. The sound of the flow is soothing and relaxing. I must find the time to to take advantage of what nature is gifting me this year. As I often say, it is so much cheaper than therapy.
